Professional Introduction for Interviews

QUESTION: present yourself, introduce yourself, etc.

WHAT THEY EXPECT: to know your best skills for this position or role.

HOW TO ANSWER: I suggest an answer less than 2 minutes long, following a guide that I present below in order to focus on what is essential and so as to avoid blanks.

STRATEGY:

  • General information: name, role, languages, etc
  • Experience: years of experience in tourism, customer service or similar roles relevant to this position
  • Skills: a balance between soft and hard skills appropriate for this position and its responsibilities
  • Why this job?: explain why you choose this position emphasizing what you have to offer

I have a degree in tourism and over 2 years’ experience working in Customer Service and Hospitality.

I consider myself a kind and friendly person. I enjoy teamwork and interacting with others, even in other languages. I am very orginized and outgoing. I love science and sports, I consider I can learn pretty quickly and I also have the ability to lead groups.

I want to be a Tourist Guide in your company because I believe I can be excellent company for those who travel and want to have fun, while learning about the place and its customs, as I am passionate about my job and I think I have a lot to offer.
