Job Interview Questions

In job interviews we will be asked many different type of questions. Here we will go over many examples and discuss how to answer some of these questions in a way that we can highlight the best of us.

The questions in bold are the first and most important answers that you should prepare for any job interview and for our oral exam.

1) INTRODUCTION

  • Can you please present/introduce yourself? Can you tell us about you?

2) GENERAL BACKGROUND

  • How do you see yourself in 5-years’ time?
  • Tell us something interesting about yourself
  • How do you think a coworker would describe you?
  • What do you like doing in your free time?
  • Why do you want to change your job/profession?

3) EXPERIENCE

  • Tell us a difficult situation that you had to face at work
  • What was the biggest challenge that you had to face?
  • Do you have experience in customer service?
  • Tell us about a time when you helped someone
  • What do you think a good coworker is like?
  • What do you think a complicated coworker is like?
  • What would you do if a passenger got really angry on-flight?
  • Share with us an example of how you adapt to change
  • Tell us about a situation when you worked successfully in a team. What was your role?

4) SKILLS

  • Can you manage working under pressure?
  • What are your best qualities? what are your strengths?
  • Can you tell us a weakness?
  • Why do you consider yourself a great fit for this position?
  • Do you work better in a team or alone? Why?
  • What does it mean working in a team? What does it entail? What are the necessary ingredients in teamwork?

5) AVIATION AND THE AIRLINE

  • Why do you want to be/become cabin crew/a flight attendant?
  • Why do you want to work for an international Airline?
  • What do you know about our company?
  • What do you think are the most important aspects of aviation?
  • What do you think are the most important qualities in a flight attendant?

We have different strategies to answer these type of questions, and here we have one you will probably use a lot: SAR

SAR (Situation – Action – Resolution)

SITUATION: context, time and place

ACTION: what you did, how you responded

RESOLUTION: what happened in the end, your skills
