INTRODUCTION: Airlines often give Cabin Crew applicants a test of general and aviation knowledge, an problem-solving skills. Do you know the anser to these questions?

1) Look at the schedule for the interview day. Click here to listen and number the situations in the order you hear them.

2) Listen again and answer the questions.

3) CLASS DEBATE: What part of the interview are you most nervous about? What do you think will be the most enjoyable?

4) The team assessment exercises help interviewers understand how you work with a group. Work in groups to simulate a team assessment. 

Here you are given a topic to discuss:

5) The individual interview gives you the opportunity to discuss your own experience and qualities in detail. Don’t forget to highlight the best of you. In order to do that, here we suggest a full professional presentation which will include your goals and main strengths for this position.

  1. INTRODUCTION: general background and experience
  2. BODY: your best qualities (soft & hard skills)
  3. CONCLUSION: why cabin crew?

11) Read the advert again. Find the phrase or sentence that means:

12) Read tasks a-g and match each sentence with one of the «key responsibilities» in the job advert.

13) Read the «minimum requirements» in the job advert. Tick the ones you meet. Mark the ones you don’t meet with «X».

14) Look at the list of job features. In your opinion, is each one a challenge or a reward? Write C for Challenge and R for Reward.  

15) Listen to four Cabin Crew members talking about their jobs HERE. Write the number (1-8) of each feature in exercise 14 that the speakers talk about.

17) Write 4 sentences about yourself. Write one sentence using each of the four conditional forms. Try to write sentences that would be useful in a job interview. 

For example:  «If I got this job, I’d give 100% all of the time.» 

18) Before you decide to apply for a job, you should look closely to the qualities that your can bring to it. Work with a partner. Do a quiz to learn more about your strengths and areas that need improvement.
