INTRODUCTION: Complete the following two exercises about the body parts:
1) Listen and match each conversation with a medical problem.

Listen again and check.
4) Look at the table. Then complete the sentences 1-8 with the correct form of the verb in brackets.
5) Use the words in the box to complete the passenger’s health problems.
6) Match the problems in exercise 5 with a remedy below.
7) CLASS ROLE-PLAY: work with a partner to practise responding to the passenger’s problems in exercise 5. Take turns being the passenger and the flight attendant.
8) If you attend to a sick passenger, you may need to pass information to a colleague or a doctor. Match descriptions 1-10 with the pictures.
9) Listen and match each conversation with a picture in exercise 8.
10) Listen again. Tick the sentences you hear.
11) Look at the list of five basic steps for dealing with a problem. Match sentences a-e with a step on the list.
12) CLASS DEBATE: Have you ever seen or been involved in en emergency situation? What happened? Did you/your colleagues follow the five basic steps?
13) Read the text. For satements 1-8 mark the sentences True or False.
14) Underline the sentences in the text on exercise 13 which describe the pictures.
15) Find words or phrases in exercise 13 for these meanings.
16) CLASS ROLE-PLAY: Work with a partner. Practice dealing with medical incidents on board.
17) Read the text and answer the questions.
